Marpillero&Associati was invited to participate in an international contest held in Tirana on July 26th, 2010. The contest was organized by the society Eurocol, which invited four European teams: Marpillero&Associati, JA Joubert Architecture from Netherlands, Frank Rishoej & ANODE Arkitekter from Denmark, and the Albanian DEA Studio.

The project by Marpillero&Associati for a residential and commercial building in Tirana won the first prize and received great appraisal.

Marpillero&Associati also presented a masterplan for a new neighbourhood in Tirana, near the artificial lake, an area ready to be capitalized for a future development.
